the first 100 go for a sale price of $50 plus s/h each. regular pricing will be $85.

i just ordered two to replace the midbasses in my doors (eXcelon)

great price and 11mm Xmax... you could use these as subwoofers ;)

i believe the WRX has 5.25" door speakers, but yes, with a mounting plate they should still fit.

you will need an x0ver (bandpass style) and amp for something like this rokkit.

also remember, they have a 3.6" mounting depth!

steve these aren't full range drivers. they're only good up to about 1k or so, but they would be perfect as a small sub or to augment a component set, etc.

You could do mids in the door and tweeters up top though, right?

yes, but you'd need room to place these. custom door panel, maybe. it's not difficult, but time consuming.

basically you'd be looking at doing something like this:

bi-amped setup. bandpass Xover on the midbass (60-200Hz), HPF on the midrange (200Hz-3k or so), HPF on the tweeter (3k up)

but you'd need to make some custom baffles at the least, that's for sure. or put the woofers in kickpanels, and the midbasses in the doors.
either way, it's all doable.

another option is the TB 6.5" woofer, that has 13mm Xmax, or the adire kodas but i think they are out of stock for a few more months now.

sounds... very good.
running IB 60Hz-250Hz for now.

6-7 hours of work (easily) looks soooo simple in pictures, doesn't it?

I bought a nice pair of Momo components from tweeter because the "Car Audio Specialist" told me they would fit....So i am all excited to get them in, I get home and take the interior of the door off and take out the old speaker, pop the new one in and hook it all up , sounds great!, for some reason, I decided to roll down my window,WHACK!!!!! right into the magnet of my 5 1/4 woofer. I tried spacers and every other trick in the book. Nothing. I had to bring them back, Choke the shit out of the "Specialist" for getting my hopes up and wasteing a few hours of my life:chairshot . I ended up buying Infinity's new Shallow mount reference speakers and still having to use 2 spacers to clear the window. I am sure if I had any fiberglass skill I could have gotton the Momos' to fit but I wanted to keep eveything looking stock
