I was curious.. Since everyone on here has a modified vehicle with many add-ons to their ride... would anyone here own a vehicle stock??? I dunno if i could.. I would always try to find sumtin for my vehicle.. hell even if it was headlight bulbs or even clear corners... ... just wondered what the outcome would be??
Could someone poll this thread also... i dunno how to .. Thanx

Well it all depends on the car like tommy said, but why in the hell would you have a 95 ford wagon! It took me about 6 months to finally mod my STi, and I was able to deal with the wait. If I had an Aston Martin you can gaurantee I wouldn't mod it, or a porsche or ferrari either. My STi is the first car I have ever done any modifications to so i have been in the world of non modded cars and it didn't bother me before (but none of those cars were worth modding.) So yeah, it all depends on whether the car is worth doing somnething to or not

Yes, it's called the daily driver. With how much rain we get down here on a regular basis you have to have 2 cars. Right now the pro is stock but when i start moddin this month. I plan on having a daily driver Mazda 626 Turbo Coupe. I mean it wont be a pos but it wont be for takin to the track. it's that a S14, or a 2.5RS Coupe. but they'd stay stock.

Hmm... No. Well, maybe. If i had a corvette or something i might not mod it, but ... no, wait. i would.
Even my work truck is modded, sort of. Black front grille (instead of the chrome one), glasspack, custom exhaust.
In reference to the porsche comment, i just bought my uncle a B&M short shifter for his boxster S :) his first mod.

naw, not busting anyone on this. I have this illness, which i'm sure ANYONE on here shares with me (otherwise, you wouldn't be on this site with a stock vehicle). I feel like i "have" to do something to a vehicle i own. I don't know why, but maybe it's because there's always the want to make my vehicle something better than how it came from the factory.

if you consider modifying a car as simple as some different headlights then i'd prolly mod every car i own.....but as far as engine work, dropping a butt ton of money into the thing, i'd find something worth while to work on.....the given example of the 95 ford wagon.....that i would just let live.....nothing special as far as wheels, engine work, paint that sorta stuff, i might put better headlights for practical purposes and better stereo system in there, but nothing to compete with.......
i'd mod my jimmy that's for sure and already have because it's the only car i own and it's a pretty nice ride for my financial standing........
as far as the comment about exotics and such, i'd mod the crap out of a lambo, porshe, or a ferrari unless it cut down on it's performance or just made it look horrendous (for example when the guy sent the enzo to West Coast Customs to have a set of new rims, I would've shot the guy, that car is practically perfect and anything changed on that......blasphemy)

it would depend on the car I owned, but I'd never buy anything I couldn't mod up, so I guess that would be a no from me

Had my STi over a year and it's still stock. I don't really like doing things piece by piece. I'm more of an all or nothing guy. It has a BOV on it, but i didn't put it on there, and if i could get the stock one that would be back on there.
Anyone have a stock BOV for an 05' STi kickin around for really cheap.

Tony (defiantspaz) and Boriqua should have one laying around somewhere. Or just give Thorn a call at XX, they probably have a million of them.

Yeah my SC is stock but it's got a V8, that may explain why i walked the backend out on a Porsche yesterday. But when i start working on it my car in gonna go in one day and come out finished. not this here, that there all at once for me.

I like to pretend that I will keep a car stock for a while, but the charade usually ends within a few months after the purchase.
I have modded my 4Runner with 2 new rear tires and Rain-X windshield wipers.

Well i'm gettin wheels, exhaust, intake, and a 2" drop in feb. All that's just for the car show. And tires i guess that wont make my car stock anymore.

does i.c.e count? cause i dont do perofomance stuff. my car does the speed limit and thats enought to cause trouble.. if we count ice as modding ill never drive a stock car.

I've got 2! I wouldn't mod ( at least the outside) of the VR4, I think it's sexy enough without a body kit.

My shop truck was modded before it left the lot with 5 miles on it! I once had a metro I modded. :( I would say it's an addiction. Some get it worse than others. My next truck will be totaly cut apart before the first oil change just not sure what it's gona be yet.

I like the chevy's almost got a titan though 4-door but I really don't like how the roof keeps going up. Lifted would be fine but lowered it would look akward. Then I was thinking the Ram with those huge wheel wells some 26's would look good stuffed up to the lug nuts but don't like the interior. I'm to picky but I will find the right truck sooner or later or just take what the payment would be and throw it at my current truck every month. Not sure ??

well I had an exhaust, morrette lights, rear sway, end links, BOV, and short ram before I even picked the car up from the dealer. within a week the stereo was in, tint and rims. Stock is boring.

two words:
bed....dancer....
and if ANYONE in this area could do it and do it well....you could...
EDIT:: and i dont think i could not modify a car....yes some things wouldnt be that extravagent (case in point 95 wagon)...but i dont like looking like everyone else...so i'd have to change it...
no vehicle I'll ever own will be stock.
I'm sure someone makes aftermarket exhausts for an Enzo.

You could always buy racing seats for them too. lol
Speaking of Ferrari, did any one watch the autoshow from Detroit on sunday? They had some Ferrari with 800 hp (yes 800), and it costs something like 1.8 million. Just a sick ride. If I win a huge powerball, I will buy that car.
